Robert Guy
Biography
Robert Guy was born in Chippenham, Wiltshire in 1966. His parents moved the family to Exeter a few years later. It was in Devon that he grew up and his formal art training took place at Exeter College of Art & Design.
Whilst at Exeter College Robert acquired his first major commission, to illustrate the book ‘The Story of Skiing’ by Major Ranulf Rayner. This involved producing over 30 paintings which where subsequently exhibited at Burlington Paintings in London.
Robert has been a professional artist since the late 1980’s and has completed many fine art commissions and also produced numerous illustrations for commercial companies. On occasion he has worked in the animation industry working as a storyboard artist for King Rollo Films and as a team leader for 3D Films.
Robert moved to Shropshire in 2000, where he is now in great demand for his portraiture of various subjects and for his skills as an accomplished Art Tutor.
